Getting closer to the end of the first month of the year. As we type this text, a camera surveillance project around Kapan is being completed.

We also just got back from Austin, TX giving another presentation to the Armenian community there. During these presentations we talk about the main security challenges the independent Republic of Armenia is facing, and how we, as ordinary citizens, can participate in their solution.

✔️ Donate to Little Bird to have a direct impact on the security of our border villages in Syunik.
✔️ Invite us to your local community. We will travel anywhere to give a similar presentation.
✔️ Participate beyond dollars: Starlink internet is the biggest priority right now.
✔️ Show solidarity. No matter who says what, we are one nation, and only together we can create a vision for the future of our country.

Tomorrow will be a year since Azerbaijan launched its final military attack on Artsakh and forced the indigenous Armenian people, who survived a 9-month-long blockade and starvation, to capitulate.

A year before that, in September 2022, Azerbaijan launched a military operation in Syunik, within the internationally recognized borders of the Republic of Armenia. The attack resulted in hundreds of casualties and thousands of displaced civilians. We also lost territory and strategic heights.

It’s September again, and especially during this month we must wake up with the following mantra in mind: our fight is a forever fight. We have to be creative to survive as a small Christian nation with a very uncomfortable, but breathtakingly beautiful geographic location.

Let’s make sure that September 2024, 2025, 2026… are months of victory and freedom.

“Figure out what works and do it”. - Lee Kuan Yew, First Prime Minister of Singapore.

Thank you for sharing this quote with us the other day. It has become the mantra of our work.

We continue to give presentations to different Armenian communities across the USA, sharing updates from the border villages of Syunik, urging everyone to join us in the effort of purchasing and supplying equipment to the bravest frontline outposts in Southern Armenia. It’s inspiring to see how much the communities appreciate and understand the urgency of this work.

See you at our next presentation on September 8, 2024 at St Vartanantz in NJ! Save the date 📝 🇦🇲

Another great presentation by the Little Birds, this time at in Queens, NY.

One of the most important goals of this presentation is developing proactivity among the Armenian community and diaspora, instead of reactivity, when it comes to the security and defense of our ancestral homeland. We discuss multiple options for individuals to get involved in this sector - something that can be financially and personally rewarding.

If you think that your local community might want to hear more about this topic, let us know! We will travel anywhere to give updates on our quarterly trips to the Armenian frontlines, our efficient supply chain and our courageous partners on the ground.

Next up: See you soon Denver, CO! Tell your Colorado friends to join us on Sunday August 11th. Reach out for details 👍🏼

The key point we continue to stress in our presentations to the community is:

We don’t have to match the enemy $ for $ to disable their equipment or neutralize their threat / advantage.

We have been en route giving presentations on the work of Little Birds to various Armenian communities across the United States: photos are from St Louis, Detroit, Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey. Before we leave for Armenia in a few weeks, we are giving one more presentation next Sunday.

The goal? To educate the diaspora on modern-day real Armenian issues without any politics or propaganda attached.

Invite us over to your local community to learn more about border villages, how endangered they are and how little it takes to make a substantial impact on the safe and secure lives of our people.

Act instead of reacting.

Giving a visual presentation of what is at risk in Syunik. These mountains. Want to be able to experience this beauty, as we did in early September last year? Help us defend it.

Each of our trips to Armenia (4 times a year) includes a trip to Syunik and to the area where we lost 4 people today (Eternal Glory to Our Men 🙏). We have seen the reasons why such tragic incidents happened and will, unfortunately, continue to happen. We must understand that there is nothing and nobody to come to our rescue besides our collective unified effort around one idea: self-defense.

Donate to Little Bird to purchase cameras, drones, network equipment, safety equipment, and more for our guys on the frontlines. They are honestly the only ones we can rely on to protect our borders.

Day 33? 34? Can’t remember anymore. We were again at the United Nations headquarters in New York, joined by group and enriched by their creative ways to express social discontent.

Armenian community is discouraged with the loss of Artsakh. Defeatist mentality is penetrating its mindset. And to be honest, we experience feelings of despair too. After all, why fight when we keep losing anyway?

But we understand that nations were not built in a day. States were not built in a day either. Azerbaijan was the losing side only 30 years ago, and today they are in the streets of Stepanakert which has never been Azeri even under the soviet rule. Times change, and we must be ready for any scenario.

We believe that:

• We need to arm Syunik (especially) and develop the Armenian defense sector. Every dollar, donation, investment should be directed towards defense.
• We need creative ways to show our resistance to the total chaos in the South Caucasus. Our protest attracted so much attention that our friends were giving an interview to a Polish TV channel today!

Take as much time as you need to grieve, but don’t stop there. We have a motherland to protect. From many enemies that we all know about. The motherland is not Nikol or Rob or Serj. The motherland is Dadivank, the Tatev monastery, the majestic heights of Khustup, the Matenadaran of ancient manuscripts, Yerablur of eternal glory, and Ararat, our memory, our soul.

Think of ways you can be active. If it’s hard to act, ask us and we can give you options.

Thank you for resisting.

Days 30 and 31 at the United Nations headquarters in New York. The people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) are still under blockade by Azerbaijan, the Lachin Corridor is still closed, and we are still protesting at the UN to make sure their voices are heard.

We are steadfast in our determination. We have to be. What a trifle it is for us to stand for a couple hours when our compatriots are under blockade. We don’t know how long this will last. The days are getting shorter and the air has a crisp chill to it that wasn’t here before.

There are more protests being planned by different groups (including Monday and Tuesday September 18-19 from 10am to 4pm), and we encourage you to go to ALL of them. If the goal is to open the road, go protest. If the goal is to end the blockade, go protest. If the goal is to deliver humanitarian aid, go protest. Put your politics aside to help the people of Artsakh in any way that you can.

To the people of Artsakh: we won’t give up on you. We won’t let you down. Արցախ, մենք քեզ հետ ենք։
