Fund for Public Health in New York City The Fund for Public Health in New York City incubates innovative public health initiatives to improve health for all.

We work with NYC's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to raise funds for public health programs across the city. Since our founding in 2002, we’ve secured more than $500 million to support over 440 projects that improves the lives of New Yorkers. Thanks to public-private partnerships from philanthropic organizations and individuals, FPHNYC is able to test new, pioneering approaches that transform lives across the city.

In advance of World Mental Health Day, today we're launching NYC Mental Health Connect, a new website to help New Yorkers find mental health and substance use services that meet their needs.

Mental Health Connect allows New Yorkers to explore behavioral health services from over 600 providers based on type of service, appointment availability, ages served, languages spoken, and insurance types accepted.

Cancer screening can catch early, when treatment works best. NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and community-based partners are working to expand access to breast cancer screening. FPHNYC thanks Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, for support of the NYC Breast Cancer Task Force.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Routine screenings can help find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat.

If you don't have health insurance, here is how you can get a free or low-cost mammogram in NYC.

FPHNYC’s People & Culture team had the pleasure of representing FPHNYC at the Arab American Association of New York (AAANY) job fair in September. The event offered a valuable opportunity to connect with job seekers and community members, share information about career opportunities at FPHNYC, and engage with employers across New York City.

AAANY is a nonprofit social service and advocacy organization that has served immigrant and underserved communities in New York and beyond since 2001.
