Myspace is coming back… and it might expose everything that went wrong with social media.

The current owners, Chris & Tim Vanderhook, just confirmed they’re planning a relaunch but not another TikTok clone.

Their goal?
Kill the algorithm.

They’re talking about bringing back:
• Chronological feeds (no manipulation)
• Real friends over random content
• Fully customizable profiles
• Creativity instead of copy-paste trends
• Music, culture, identity
• Less addiction… more control

Basically… the internet before it became a dopamine machine.

Because let’s be honest social media didn’t evolve, it got hijacked.

It went from:
“Connect with people you care about”

To:
“Keep you scrolling as long as possible”

And once that changed, everything else followed:
• Outrage = profit
• Division = profit
• Addiction = profit
• Low-quality viral content > real connection

Now the question is…

Do people actually want their social life back?

Or are we too addicted to leave the algorithm behind?
