Our winter clothing drive has started! Drop off your winter coats and other outwear now until 2pm on Willoughby.

If you’re not around today, we have other drop off options too.

Impacted by the freeze in SNAP funds? Experiencing food insecurity? We got you! Sign up here for a Grocery Buddy to help you get through the shutdown. Your information will only be shared with the volunteer who is matching people and your Grocery Buddy. You can request a grocery gift card, help with a shopping trip, or shopping and delivery and your buddy will cover the cost. 👋 Help us bridge the SNAP gap

Federal SNAP benefits are set to stop this Saturday amid the government shutdown. This would be the first time in U.S. history that a federal administration has stopped food assistance during a government shutdown, just a few weeks before Thanksgiving.

Fourteen percent of our neighbors in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill–nearly 4,000 households–rely on SNAP. Without it, some people may be forced to choose between buying food and paying other bills. Food banks are preparing for a spike in demand that they’ll have to navigate with decreased federal aid themselves.

We’re asking everyone who is able to step up right now. Mutual aid is how we take care of each other, especially when systems fail.
