An EasternEnt x - ER initiative

🌟 THE ILLUMINE PROJECT KOFORIDUA INITIATIVE HAS BEGUN! 🌟

Imagine. Play. Create.

We are excited to officially announce the commencement of the Illumine Project Koforidua Initiative — bringing learning, creativity, sports, mentorship and meaningful conversations to young people across Koforidua. 🚀

🏫 OUR JOURNEY BEGINS WITH:
• Liberty Specialist School
• Kweku Boateng Basic D
• Adweso SDA Basic School
…and we will continue through other schools, eventually reaching St. Peter’s Anglican Basic School and beyond.

📻 STEP 1: CHILDREN’S HOUR ON EASTERN FM

Students from participating schools will first get the opportunity to take part in the Children’s Hour Programme on Eastern FM, creating a platform for learning, discussion, expression and interaction.

🏃🏾‍♂️📚 STEP 2: SCHOOL ACTIVATIONS

From October to November, Illumine Project activations will take place on participating school campuses, featuring:

🏀 Sports & Outdoor Activities
📖 Reading & Literacy Development
🧠 Educational Discussions & Critical Thinking
🎨 Creative Activities
🤝 Teamwork & Social Development
🌱 Learning, Confidence & Personal Growth

The goal is simple: create an environment where young people can imagine, play and create while developing skills beyond the classroom.

📢 **OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG WOMEN IN KOFORIDUA!**

Looking to learn a practical skill and build a pathway to self-employment? 👩🏾‍💻👗🍽️

Applications are currently being invited for the **YEA Skills Training Programme**, offering **6 months of intensive, hands-on training** in:

👗 **Fashion**
🍳 **Catering**
💻 **IT**

**Who can apply?**
✅ Young Ghanaian women aged **18–35 years**
📍 Must be **living in Koforidua**
📅 Training will be held **twice a week**

Upon successful completion of the training, beneficiaries are expected to receive **equipment and starter packs** to support them in setting up their own ventures.

This could be an opportunity to gain a marketable skill, develop your confidence and take a step towards building your own livelihood.

We've officially completed our first round of school visits (more to come), and we're grateful to the schools, teachers, and stakeholders who welcomed us and embraced the vision of the Illumine Project - Koforidua Initiative.
