Shavua tov Rabbi Mottel,

After our conversation on Friday, I would like to describe to you our current situation in Ukraine.

We find ourselves in an effective siege for the past two and a half weeks.

This means that supplies have not entered our city for the past two and a half weeks, and that our people are on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.

We arrange here in Kherson, every 2-3 days, 1150 food packages.
Every package cost equivalent to 25 USD.

In every food package, there is basic food so that our people don't die of hunger G-D forbid.

Our packages contain:
Flour
Sugar
Rice
Oatmeal
Buckwheat
Eggs
Potatoes
Onions
Beetroots
Carrots

Every Jew that is physically able to, comes to pick it up from the Synagogue. Those who can not, we bring it to their home, through our group of volunteers.

The food has been obtained and continues to be, through our connections of 30 years thank G-D. We are using all these connections to take food from emergency storages, and through different ways, to bring it to the people, so that heaven forbid they don't die of hunger, etc.

What is needed to get through this next week, and to ensure our community gets through the week healthily, with G-D's help, is 100,000 USD.

B'Hatzlacha and thank you very much,
Rabbi Yossef Wolff
