If you are in an eligible neighborhood, we will notify you when service starts in your area. If you live in an area where service is not yet offered, we will let you know about opportunities to bring your food scraps to a drop-off location or how to compost at home (and we'll let you know if service is expanding to your area!).

This Saturday is Halloween, and we have a challenge for Ocean Hill neighborhood children —find the Golden Pumpkin! The quest begins at 3:30 and ends at 5:30. The map to likely neighborhood hiding places will be provided. Please bring your adults. We’ll be maintaining social distance, and providing masks if needed. Boo!

Great news! We will reopen this weekend! Gate will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm. Please wear a mask and maintain social distance. No events or large gatherings at this time.

We have a phone meeting next week to discuss reopening the garden. NYRP would like to know if there are fall events that the community is interested in holding at the garden. Ideally small group events maintaining social distance. Please share any thoughts/ideas you may have!

People all over the world are putting rainbows in their windows to remind each other there will be beauty and life once this difficult period is over. It would be wonderful (and give us all a creative outlet) to brighten the windows of the neighborhood to join in the fun.
