Opening night energy ✨🎭

What a night! GUAC officially opened at The People’s Theatre, and our red carpet was filled with friends, artists, community leaders, and longtime supporters who came Uptown to celebrate this historic first production in our new home.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us to welcome GUAC and this new chapter for The People’s Theatre with so much joy, love, and community. 💛

The celebration may have been one night, but GUAC continues through October 10. Come experience it for yourself.

Broadway icons Robin de Jesús and Linedy Genao are coming uptown for When You’re Home: An Uptown Cabaret—one unforgettable night celebrating the music, memories, and mischief that make New York feel like home. 🎭🎶

Part Broadway concert, part Latin music fever dream, part family party, this genre-hopping love letter to Uptown moves from Juan Gabriel to Sondheim—and somehow, it all makes perfect sense. Expect big voices, sharp humor, sazón, and the joyful chemistry of two beloved Broadway stars.

Created especially for The People’s Theatre, this one-night-only cabaret celebrates the immigrant stories, neighborhood rhythms, and beautifully chaotic Uptown spirit of Washington Heights and Inwood.
