TIMELINE POST

I will be updating this page with new posts as the project progresses but will use this post to give an overall timeline.

PAST
9/18: Ordered over 200 Pokémon cards depicting a doctor to hand out.
9/25: Opened the idea up to the Pokémon community on Facebook, many people interested.
9/27: Made contact with the hospital's Child Life and Pediatric Department, obtained hospital address where donations can be sent.
9/28: Got information about another hospital in MN who was able to go forward with the same idea, required spraying outside of team bags with disinfectant spray and quarantining cards for 1 week.
9/29: The hospital informed me that it is only accepting sealed packs and sealed cards at the moment. Unfortunately no bulk because COVID puts a damper on everything. If you are interested in donating packs, any pack would do, including inexpensive ones like McDonald's and General Mills packs or sealed promos.
10/6: First donation received!
10/12: 3 booster boxes received!
10/29: Cards delivered to kids along with other goodies from Child Life. Kids loved the cards!

It started as a simple idea, to combine my passion for medicine and my love for Pokémon by handing out Pokémon cards to children at the hospital. I opened the idea up to the Pokémon community and got an overwhelming, positive response. The purpose of this page is to keep people interested in contributing to the project and to keep the process as transparent as possible. To interact with others in the project, use the community tab!
