We had so much fun exploring the exhibit in NYC last weekend. The exhibit showcased pieces from his childhood (like the little raccoon piece included) to his untimely death. The exhibit also included documentaries from his family members and individuals part of the trust.
Though we wished there were more iconic pieces, it was still a wonderful experience.

“What was in my mind was to build something for the people of New York and for anyone who visits—a space that on first sight was dazzling, and upon use made people happy.” — Barry Diller
Finally made it into NYC to explore Little Island. It’s a little natural reprieve from the busy streets of the city. Have you checked it out yet!?

Just came across and we are obsessed. This piece really caught our attention - it’s so true that “everybody can be a hero.” At the moment, it’s hard to not relate everything in life to covid, but life feels so hard right now. What if we all try to reach out and be the reason a friend smiles today!? It may mean more than we realize!!
“Friends are the real superheroes. They battle our worst enemies—loneliness, grief, anxiety, depression, fear, and doubt—every time they come around.”

I really didn’t think it was possible to capture my boys at this moment in time, but Steve managed to do it perfectly. These days, I already feel such a fierce sense of nostalgia as I try to freeze time and remember every little detail. I’m grasping, but, nevertheless, time and details keep slipping through my fingers. I am so thankful to have this piece to hold onto them just as they are now, forever. 🥰

We had the pleasure of escaping to Austin, Texas and expanding our museum visits to include the . This venue is such a treasure and they have done an exceptional job exhibiting their collection. One moving, and new to us, artist is . Kwame’s images are piercing and left us wanting to learn more about him and his subjects. Known to some as the “Keeper of the Images”, he is the man behind visualizing and promoting the phrase “Black Is Beautiful” in the 1960s. Through his photographic art, Kwame has brought insight and a much needed understanding of the black freedom movement.

This amazing piece “The Run Down (Magenta)” by arrived in the mail, and we were inspired to try our hand at placing it in an outdoor space… although beautiful, we learned that we will definitely be leaving the outside installations to the professional!! 😜 The stories Joe tells through his art always leave us speechless and yearning for nostalgia. Thanks to and for all the help!
