Even as the war crimes in Gaza and Ukraine continue unabated, Sudan is imploding under the stresses of a long internal war. The extent of human rights violations being faced by the Sudanese is distressing, and civil society actors and changemakers around the world must speak in solidarity for our Sudanese fraternity. This GATHER Learning Lab reckoner will bring you up to speed on what's happening in Sudan. It's time to speak up.

The International Court of Justice’s interim ruling on January 26, 2024, is an important step towards deescalating the terrible violence that Israel has unleashed on the people of Gaza since October 2023. However, ICJ intervened only because South Africa filed a case against Israel, accusing it of genocidal acts. South Africa, a nation that has lived through apartheid, stepped up in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Despite the support of the world’s most powerful nations, Israel must now be held accountable before the whole world. This act of support and solidarity, realized through the ICJ, is a lesson for all changemakers of how we can be more powerful together. Swipe to learn more about ICJ’s role in bringing justice for the people of Palestine.
