We are reaching out to you today to tell you about a new program at Community Impact that might interest you!

Here is a little bit of information:

This program is Monday through Thursday every week for 15 weeks starting in September to December 2022. This class will include culinary classes along with ESOL, GED OR College Prep & Food Protection review instruction & Hospitality / Entrepreneurism. The course will provide you with a certificate of completion, as well as preparation and payment for the course exams. We also offer resume building and job-placement assistance. Classes are held in-person in West Harlem.

Hi all!
We are excited to officially open our Spring semester registration! We are accepting rolling applications.

The basic requirements for applicants are:
(If ESOL student) You must be Level 4 English or higher. The culinary portion is only offered in English.
The program includes literacy classes (ESOL, TASC, or College Prep) AND culinary classes.
You must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in culinary arts.
You must be available Monday-Thursday, 10 AM-2 PM. The program lasts 8-weeks.
The program will be in-person and we require proof of vaccination. Classes are held in Upper Manhattan (West Harlem).

Hi all!
We are excited to officially opened our Spring semester registration! Our Spring semester we are accepting rolling applications.

The basic requirements for applicants are:

(If ESOL student) You must be Level 4 English or higher. The culinary portion is only offered in English.

The program includes literacy classes (ESOL, TASC, or College Prep) AND culinary classes.

You must take both.

You must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in culinary arts.

You must be available Monday-Thursday, 10 AM-2 PM or 9AM-1PM for classes.Plus an additional 1-2 hours of work outside of class. The program lasts 12-weeks.

The program will be in-person. You will be required to attend classes in Upper Manhattan (West Harlem), in-person, 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday, 10AM-2PM OR 9AM- 1PM).

Happy Tuesday!
We at CAFE Prep would like to offer our sincerest apologies for the delay in communications. We have finally secured our kitchen and classroom spaces and have reopened admissions!

Hello!

In spite of our semester starting on February 15th, we are continuing to accept applicants on a rolling basis! It is not too late to apply, and we hope to offer our program to as many eligible New Yorkers as possible. Our program is limited to those preparing for their GED, preparing to attend college, or immigrants who would like to learn english. It is likewise limited to those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary arts.

Our program is completely free of charge; we provide all ingredients and supplies. All classes occur online via Zoom, in accordance with COVID safety protocols. A computer or smartphone with a reliable internet connection is required.

We also prepare our participants for the food handlers licensing test, as well as cover the expenses of the testing.
