You’re invited to our next Supper Club!

Come hang out with us at for the second installment of our Cookbook Supper Club, an ongoing series featuring businesses from Made Here!

We’ve curated a meal highlighting some of our favorite dishes, including the seafood corn dog featured in the cookbook. And of course, a night at Insa would not be complete without some (optional) open mic karaoke in the bar afterwards! 🎤🎶🪩

On the menu:

🥬 Banchan spread (kimchi, potato salad, seaweed & pickles, 2 seasonal specials)

Since the launch of our self-published and James Beard-nominated cookbook, Made Here, we have sold 2,981 units! 🎉 That’s $72,968 of net proceeds from book sales that we’ve brought back to the community through our Gift-a-Meal program, business development support for our merchants, hot meals and groceries for community members, and so much more.

May marked an incredible APAHM for the SCL team! From marking the beginning of SCL’s running era with a 5K co-hosted by , to dominating our trivia event sponsored by with our partners at , we were able to raise $8200 and distribute 925 meals！

A big thank you to everyone who took part in SCL’s May programming - exciting events like these don’t just happen during APAHM, but year round, so keep your eyes peeled for future opportunities to engage with the SCL team and partners!

Minor Legends is a new comedy fiction podcast chronicling a group of five friends whose weekly dinner dates discuss what it means to be AAPI. • Bag drop starts at 10AM, and the run will start at 10:30AM

Last year we hosted our first ever Trivia Night to a packed house out in Queens. It was a night filled with joyous moments by teams that came to test their knowledge and have a great time as we fundraised money for NYCs Chinatown communities.

This year we’re back! And you can join the fun at off Bowery Street. On May 30th we’ll be taking over their space to do another fundraiser trivia night! Come test your knowledge and win awesome prizes like , , our James Beard nominated cookbook, and more!!

Your ticket is $50 and with it you get cocktail from the bar, family style appetizers for your table, and a choice of a ramen for yourself. $10 of each ticket sale will also go towards Send Chinatown Love as a donation to our community building efforts.

Trivia Night Returns!!

As part of our initiatives for Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) 2024, Send Chinatown Love is hosting our second-annual trivia night at Shinka Ramen & Sake Bar on Thursday, May 30 for a night of dinner and trivia! Join us for a fun-filled night of friendly competition, with questions focused on AAPI history, culture, music, and food. We will also be raffling off prizes from Asian American-owned businesses!

Trivia will be organized in teams of up to 4 (solo players welcome). Have a team preference? You can share it with us by filling out the form also linked in our bio, otherwise we’ll match you up when you arrive!

The members of the winning team will each win 2 raffle tickets for our drawing after the final round!
Doors open and food will be served at 6:30 PM. We will start the trivia portion promptly at 7:30 PM. So arrive early and let’s get to the fun!

Come run with us and !

In celebration of APAHM we’ll be hitting the pavement with our friends from Chinatown Runners on a 5K loop starting at the new Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles III at 106 Bayard Street (corner of Baxter and Bayard) in Manhattan’s Chinatown.

This event is open to all pace groups! We’ll have different pacing from 8 minute miles to 13 minute miles plus a walking group! Along the run the pacers will have a few stops to share some AAPI history.

We’ve also partnered with our friends at Nha Trang and Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles to have meals ready for you at the conclusion of your run! We can’t wait to see you all on June 1st!

We’re celebrating this month with a ton of awesome activations and events! We’re still working on the details for a few but here’s what we have in store so far.

🍽️ Cookbook Supper Club! Happening on May 8th with our friends at Awang Kitchen. You can click the link in our bio to find out more details.

🤔 SCL Trivia Night! It’s back again for the second time, and yes we’re making the questions harder than last year 😈. We’ll have more details on this event to announce very soon.

🏃‍♀️ SCL Run Club! What better city to run in than our own? Every step you pass by an iconic landmark and we wanted to be able to do something new this year with our community. The full details are coming soon but it will be hosted on Saturday morning, June 1st. We’ll have pacing groups available for 8min miles up to a walking group.

Our team is hard at work finalizing the planning for the events and we’ll announce more about each one soon. All net proceeds from the events will be going into our main GAM fund.
