We’re thrilled to see the scaffolding going up on our landmark rectory, designed by James Renwick, Jr as a residence for the rector and their family, and erected in 1847, just one year after the church was completed. Over the next several months, we will be undertaking a major $5 million exterior restoration of this architectural treasure, completely restoring its timber-frame gothic windows, cleaning and repointing the Tuckahoe marble façades, and completely replacing the roof with the same style of sheet metal roof that was original to the building. We’ve had amazing fundraising success, but we still don’t have enough money to see the project through to completion. Please make a donation to support the restoration of our historic buildings at the link in our bio!
