Congratulations! This morning the MTA Board voted affirmably to ratify the 2025-2027 UTLO MOU/contract. With UTLO membership AND MTA board ratifications, the new MOU is official.

As a reminder, this new MOU includes retroactive payments for all who served as UTLO bargaining members during the MOU timeframe. There will be an update on retro payment timelines as they become available.

The UTLO has continued to have meetings, both in person and via conference calls, with the MTA. Mario Bucceri, UTLO President and the UTLO attorney met with the MTA's Chief Negotiator and the MTAs Chief Labor and Employee Relations Officer yesterday. UTLO was told that the financial analysis the MTA was waiting for has been completed and that the MTA continues to have internal discussion about our proposals. UTLO was also told that we are to expect a firm offer sheet by the end of the week. We will provide additional information after that occurs.

CONGRATULATIONS!!- The 2022-2024 MOU has been ratified with an overwhelming 95.3% acceptance rate!! The MTA has been notified, and we are pushing to get this vote on the MTA Board agenda for 24-26 June.

Exciting News: Board Acceptance of MTA Contract and Upcoming Ratification Vote

Dear UTLO Members,

We are thrilled to announce that the UTLO Board has officially accepted a contract from the MTA. This milestone is a testament to our collective efforts and dedication.

In order to finalize this process, we will be holding a ratification vote on June 14, 2024 at 1305 86th Street, Brooklyn, NY. Polls will be open from 8am-8pm. This is a crucial step, and your participation is essential.

Additionally, we understand the importance of reviewing the contract details thoroughly. To facilitate this, we will be hosting a virtual meeting to go over the proposed contract. The proposed contract and the schedule for the virtual contract review meetings will be published tomorrow, June 5, 2024.

We encourage all members to attend the virtual meeting to gain a comprehensive understanding of the contract and to ensure your voice is heard during the ratification vote.

🚨 Update 🚨

The current negotiations mood/energy is positive as we negotiate important issues like General Wage Increase, Comp Time reform, and Medical costs.
Next scheduled negotiations meeting is 08 FEB 2024. Before then, our meetings include: HR- Medical Benefits cost options, Labor Relations- Managerial discipline issues
We thank you for your patience as we ensure leadership understands the issues facing Managers at MTA. We are creating positive change for Managers' work/life balance. As a reminder, our current contract expired 31 DEC 2021, and we are negotiating pay and benefits from that date to the present. Have a safe weekend.

🚨 UTLO Membership 🚨

The next contract negotiations session for UTLO is scheduled for Tuesday 19 DEC 2023. During this next session, MTA is scheduled to present a contract proposal to UTLO. The MTA contract proposal will detail salary and benefits for all UTLO Bargaining unit members.

The next round of contract negotiations is scheduled to be held on Thursday 07 Dec at 1130AM. This contract negotiation session will discuss all Departments (Bus, Subways, HQ/Support, SIRTOA, etc...)

ALL- Today we successfully kicked off UTLO contract negotiations. The parties engaged in a cordial and productive discussion of several dozen demands. These demands were developed by not onlythe Union leadership, but also incorporated extensive input from you, the UTLO membership. The parties agreed to engage In further discussion, and we will inform you of those dates, when they are confirmed.
