Nina is a Brooklyn-based creative who loves collage, film photography, fiber art, and watercolor. She curates art/maker’s markets due to her love for creating spaces for markers and artists to display and sell their creations. She believes in the healing power of creating, ideating, and being able to share with the community. She finds immense joy in helping others find their voices and believes that every person is meant to create. She hopes to share her journey of overcoming self-doubt and creative blocks, and helping others nurture their creative spirits.

Sam Park is a Korean-American poet based in Brooklyn, NY. Initially, a classically trained singer, her poetry is heavily influenced by her musical background, which reflects upon themes of femininity, cultural identity, and spirituality. Her work has been published in various publications and literary magazines and she has performed in various spaces in New York City, including the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Brooklyn Poetry Slam, and most recently, the New York Poetry Festival on Governor’s Island.

Not getting into law school was possibly the best thing to happen to Judy Lei, a native New Yorker, who experienced a midlife crisis at the age of 22. She quickly pivoted from being a Congressional Caseworker to studying acting, writing, and improv at the Barrow Group Theater Company and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Since then, she wrote, performed, produced, and toured two solo shows - The World’s Greatest (dir. MC Jin) and 28: Still F*cked Up in NYC & Los Angeles. She turned her first solo show into a feature film, THE WORLD’S GREATEST, which premiered at the Asian American International Film Festival in NYC & the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. She recently finished her second film (short) called FOREVER MAYBE and is awaiting festival acceptances. She was most recently the Dialect Coach on INTERIOR CHINATOWN (coming out November 19, 2024 on Hulu!). She hopes to spend the rest of her life telling stories about the NYC Asian American experience through comedy, television, and film.

Dr. Frank Song ND is an NYC-based musician and naturopathic physician focused on Lyme and tick-borne diseases, chronic complex illness, and mind-body medicine. He has experience working in children’s psychiatric care and is also a certified holistic counselor. He has a Master’s in Human Nutrition and is passionate about discussing food and our relationships with food. He is proud to be Asian American and utilizes Traditional Chinese Medical wellness and healthcare models to guide his patients’ health journeys.

This interactive space will identify common core beliefs that hinder creativity and culturally influenced mindsets that reinforce perfectionism. Connect with others in personal reflection and skill-building to learn new ways to build confidence and trust in your creative process.

Joanna Chang LCSW is a licensed psychotherapist with Yellow Chair Collective, a psychotherapy practice that specializes in Asian and Asian American mental health. Her speciality is providing Asian and Asian American clients with a safe space to explore, heal, and move forward from burnout, anxiety, trauma, and imposter syndrome. She is based in New York City, and sees adults and couples residing in New York and New Jersey.
