ELANY was proud to explore the growing mainstream acceptance of the E&S market, evolving regulatory expectations, and the delicate balance between flexibility and oversight at the E&S Insurer Conference 2026.

CEO and Executive Director Janet Pane moderated the panel discussion, “When Needs Must.” She was joined by an esteemed group of panelists, including Michael Blackshear, Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer at Ryan Specialty and ELANY Board member; John Finston, former NYDFS Executive Deputy Superintendent for Insurance and former California regulator with extensive private-sector experience; and Kate Jensen, partner at Steptoe LLP.

The program, 'Market Focus: ELANY Guidance on Insurer Compliance', will feature a fireside discussion with Elaine Sabino, General Counsel and Director of Government Affairs at ELANY and Daniel McCarty, Counsel at Eversheds Sutherland.
