This summer, Growing Up Latina hosted 5 amazing Ladders for Leaders interns in various roles. Growing Up Latina, hosted by Alyi V, spotlights candid conversations with Latina influencers, artists, and leaders, inspiring young Latina girls by sharing real experiences and journeys.

Meet a few of our Ladders for Leaders interns who spent their summer at Rudin!

Among many exciting experiences, they had the opportunity to meet DYCD Commissioner Keith Howard to share what they learned—from the skills they gained to the lessons they’ll carry forward. From personal and professional growth to networking, mentorship, and hands-on experience, our interns truly did it all—thanks to Rudin’s incredible support.

We’re deeply grateful to Commissioner Howard for taking the time to connect with our participants and to Rudin for being such an amazing partner and supporter of the L4L program

Huge thanks to MJHS for hosting 10 of Commonpoint’s Ladders for Leaders interns this summer at the MJHS Academy!

Our students raved about the phenomenal programming, meaningful projects, and dedicated mentorship they experienced.

This summer, Michael interned in the Appeals & Grievances department at MJHS, calling it a pivotal stepping stone toward his passion for fraud investigations and criminal justice reform.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Clinton Foundation where we toured their stunning new offices, met incredible staff, and connected with Marco Salimbeni — a Tufts pre-med student interning this summer through NYC’s Ladders for Leaders program.

Marco is supporting the Foundation’s Innovative Finance Group, advancing health equity and exploring the intersection of public health, finance, and innovation — an experience that’s shaping his path in medicine.

Grateful to the Clinton Foundation for creating transformative opportunities for students year after year, and for inspiring the next generation of changemakers. 🌍💡

Grateful to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum for hosting our Ladders for Leaders interns this summer. 🗽✨

We joined the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development team to visit the Museum, where we heard inspiring presentations from our interns about their impactful summer experiences.

Huge thanks to the Museum’s incredible staff for mentoring and supporting our participants year after year. Your dedication to guiding the next generation of professionals means the world. 💙

Another amazing site visit—this time with the ASPCA, who graciously hosted over six interns this summer! 🐾💼

We met students pursuing careers in HR, Computer Engineering, Veterinary Studies, Finance, and Community Medicine—each one matched to a role that aligned perfectly with their academic journey. 🎓✨

Over lunch, we heard inspiring reflections from the interns and toured the ASPCA’s incredible 92nd Street facility.

The animals—and the students—completely melted our hearts. 🐶🐱💛

We had an amazing visit to GNYHA where we met Qiu Vincent, a Ladders for Leaders intern doing some seriously impressive work replicating the Area Deprivation Index (ADI)—a tool that helps policymakers make smarter decisions. 👏📊
