The BYC is The Door's career and education department located in the South Bronx. Services are for young people ages 16-24.

Due to the ongoing government shutdown, SNAP benefits may be delayed for November. Everyone deserves access to nutritious food. The Door offers free meals and a food pantry to all Door members ages 12–24.

SNAP households should continue to complete all SNAP requirements. For updates on how the shutdown is affecting benefits for New Yorkers visit otda.ny.gov

A SMASHING SUCCESS: Yesterday we celebrated our talented BYC artists as they showcased their photographs and reflected on completing the mural project!

We have officially opened our 24-hour drop-in center at the Bronx Youth Center! Door members ages 16-24 can access shelter support, case management, our mental health hub, benefits navigation, and financial counseling.

Showers and Laundry are coming in 2025!

PARTICIPANT SPOTLIGHT- HSE : Amelia

Amelia is a spunky, bright individual who came to The Door’s Pathway to Graduation program very determined and focused on obtaining her High School Equivalency Diploma. Her hard work, commitment, and willingness to achieve her goals have paid off tremendously, as she is now officially a P2G graduate and has obtained her High School Equivalency Diploma. Congratulations to Amelia!
