Morireoluwa’s Gold Award project, TLC (Tender Loving Care), is centered on helping young people embrace and care for their natural hair.

Through a hands-on workshop for Girl Scouts, she taught braiding, protective styles, and the cultural history behind cornrows and braids. Participants left not only with new knowledge and skills, but also with donated hair care products from Fenty Hair, K18 Hair, and Dove. 💚

Through Students Rebuild’s annual projects, young people come together to learn, connect, and take action on pressing global issues using the power of art and imagination. 🎨

This year, Girl Scouts from over 20 GSGNY troops across NYC participated in the 2026 Unique & United project—creating meaningful artistic expressions that reflect what a more united world can look like. 💚

Each Girl Scout who contributed earned a custom Unique & United fun patch, celebrating their creativity, voice, and impact. ✨

Want to join the Unique & United? Submit your creative work at StudentsRebuild.org by June 1st. Every submission sparks a $5 donation to organizations that empower youth and build bridges, like GSGNY. 🖌️
