Today, we celebrated International Day of the Girl with Gap in a day full of creativity, and career exploration. 👖

Girl Scouts spent the day touring Gap headquarters, hearing from women leaders, and learning how fashion designs go from initial concept to stores shelves. 🎨 The experience also included a special Gap x Girl Scouts of Greater New York patch created for participants to take home.

🌟In recognition of her accomplishments, Julia will receive a $5,000 scholarship from Girl Scouts of Greater New York.

Meet Betina Dowdell, one of the remarkable honorees we’ll celebrate at this year’s Women of Distinction Breakfast. 💚

As a Relationship Manager within Workplace Wealth Solutions at UBS Wealth Management, Betina works with Fortune 500 companies and major plan sponsors to deliver corporate equity solutions that help attract, retain, and engage employees while supporting long-term client growth.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Betina is deeply committed to community leadership and service. She has held leadership roles with the Women’s Board of The Apollo Theater Foundation and the UNCF New York Leadership Council. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the Empire NYC Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., where she was a founding member, and most recently volunteered with the Institute for Family Health in Harlem, leading a weekly social skills group for elementary school children.
