Congratulations to our esteemed AWLN Peace & Security Pillar Co-Chair, Anny T. Modi, on being awarded a medal by the French Senate in recognition of her outstanding advocacy and steadfast commitment to survivors of gender-based violence, particularly conflict-related sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This distinguished recognition honors not only her leadership and courage, but also her tireless efforts to amplify the voices of survivors, advance justice and accountability, and champion the rights and dignity of women affected by conflict.

We celebrate this well-deserved honor and commend Anny's continued contribution to the Women, Peace and Security agenda across Africa and beyond.

The volunteer will support the management of AWLN’s digital platforms, strengthen organizational workflows, contribute to content creation, and leverage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance collaboration and impact across the network.
