BeSMART (Be SMART for Kids) is a campaign focused on safe gun storage campaign, launched in 2015. It is a framework for parents, caretakers, and community leaders to follow to help keep their communities safer from gun violence.

📣 From August 24 to 28, 2026 is SMART Week, a week to focus on spreading the word about secure gun storage.

We’re about one month into our 3rd Annual 3000 Miles for Peace virtual race! 👟🎉

Our 3000 Miles for Peace is a fundraiser to support the work of On Earth Peace where racers can log a variety of activities to collectively accumulate “miles” toward our goal.

So far, 39 active racers have moved Orby along our route 3115 miles, reaching 10 of 17 locations along the way, raising $4,800.00 for On Earth Peace's work to develop young peacemakers with the help of 81 contributors! 🕊️✨

It’s not too late to get involved! You can join in as a racer at any time, or show your support by sponsoring a participant. 🙋💙

On Thursday, July 23rd at 3:00 pm EST, join us for a joint call with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ to learn from Taylor McNaboe at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) about their work in supporting people who have been deported to Honduras and El Salvador and how we can be of support.

🎉 The 3rd Annual 3000 Miles for Peace virtual race and peer-to-peer fundraiser has officially begun!

Our 3000 Miles for Peace is a fundraiser to support the work of On Earth Peace where racers can log a variety of activities to collectively accumulate “miles” toward our goal.

On July 1st, just as Annual Conference was wrapping up, Orby set off from Fort Wayne on a tour of sites related to conscientious objection. With the help of 35 of 44 total racers who have logged activities so far, Orby has already traveled 1090 miles and reached the first five stops!👏

There’s still time to join the race. Because we’re helping Orby along the path, you can join as a racer at any time—or you can back a racer with your donation.🙋💙
