Please join us in prayer for the family of Mrs. Joan Myers.

Joan served as Women's Chair for almost 30 years to my understanding before volunteering to gracefully step down to take that extra time to spend with her family. She seemed to be a cross roads and chose to make sure that the time she had was going to be spent at all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's many events. While the absence of her and her wisdom and guidance in the organization were surely to be noticed, not a single one of us could blame her.

Mrs. Joan was a woman that spoke her mind boldly and respectfully. She was a wealth of knowledge and an asset to the Farm Bureau for all that she did with public engagement and agriculture education. While dairy cows were her main love in our industry, she often could speak on many other topics to all ages. The Carroll County Farm Bureau owes Mrs. Joan Myers a sincere thank you for all that she did not only for us but for agriculture as a whole. A pillar of the community, a voice of reason, and a soul that will wholeheartedly be missed.

Grain bins play an essential role in agriculture, but they can also present serious entrapment risks to farmers.

Thanks to our friends at Nationwide, six Maryland fire departments have been awarded life-saving grain bin rescue equipment.

As a proud Nationwide partner, we’re proud to support this vital program, along with our friends at Horizon Farm Credit, Maryland Grain Producers, and Maryland Soybean Board.

Congratulations to Parkton Fire Station #60, Kennedyville Volunteer Fire Company, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department, Montgomery County Maryland – Fire & Rescue Service, Vigilant Hose Company, and Queen Anne Hillsboro for receiving this lifesaving equipment.

Come out and see the CCFB's President, David Clas and Vice President, Gary Dell today from 8am-noon at the Downtown Westminster Farmers Market! They will be there answering questions for consumers about agriculture in our county.

Spin the wheel, win a prize, get a sticker!

The Carroll County Farm Bureau will be at the Downtown Westminster Farmers Market the second Saturday of every month with their "Ask a Farmer" tent from now until November. We aim to educate and engage with our community about what we do as agriculturalists and what we do as an organization.

Be sure to stop by and show your support for us and all the other local vendors that are there!

Why join Maryland Farm Bureau? Because we’re the voice of Maryland farmers in Annapolis—and today is a perfect example of the work we do:

👍 MDFB President Jamie Raley advocating for farmer representation in state government.
👍 MDFB member Bill Rasche testifying to codify MDFB appointed seats on state commissions.
👍 MDFB Government Affairs Director Tyler Hough fighting back against burdensome ag regulations.

But we can't do our work without the support of members like you. Join us at members.mdfarmbureau.com!
