MEET THE 2026-2027 CCFB AG AMBASSADOR

Cassadi Lewis is the 2026–2027 Carroll County Farm Bureau Agricultural Ambassador. Daughter of Kevin and Chelsi Lewis of Westminster and a recent graduate of Manchester Valley High School, she will attend Shepherd University to study Environmental Science Engineering with the goal of pursuing a career in natural resource conservation. Raised on her family's farm, Cassadi developed a passion for agriculture through 4-H, FFA, and a USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service internship, where she gained hands-on experience in soil health, conservation planning, and sustainable farming. She is an active leader in her community, serving in numerous 4-H, FFA, and school organizations while balancing athletics, employment, and academic excellence. As Ag Ambassador, Cassadi is dedicated to promoting agricultural literacy, advocating for Maryland farmers, and inspiring the next generation to become involved in agriculture.

Please join us in prayer for the family of Mrs. Joan Myers.

Joan served as Women's Chair for almost 30 years to my understanding before volunteering to gracefully step down to take that extra time to spend with her family. She seemed to be a cross roads and chose to make sure that the time she had was going to be spent at all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's many events. While the absence of her and her wisdom and guidance in the organization were surely to be noticed, not a single one of us could blame her.

Mrs. Joan was a woman that spoke her mind boldly and respectfully. She was a wealth of knowledge and an asset to the Farm Bureau for all that she did with public engagement and agriculture education. While dairy cows were her main love in our industry, she often could speak on many other topics to all ages. The Carroll County Farm Bureau owes Mrs. Joan Myers a sincere thank you for all that she did not only for us but for agriculture as a whole. A pillar of the community, a voice of reason, and a soul that will wholeheartedly be missed.

View Joan A. Myers's obituary, contribute to their memorial, see their funeral service details, and more.
