How can you turn 45 minutes of LifeWise class time into an hour?

🌟Intentional lesson planning!🌟

Buckeye Central LifeWise teaching plans include what to do on the bus trip to and from school. Activities vary by grade and lesson and are led by volunteers. Examples of plans are singing, memory verse work with motions (using small white boards), prayer requests, and more!

Meanwhile, back in the classroom, prep work is being done on the white board, Bibles opened, and supplies ready to go.

🎉🎉 🎉Another Marvelous Monday with our amazing 2nd graders…

‼️The Israelites have FINALLY made it to the Promised Land. Now, however, they must conquer the people living in the land. Joshua sent two spies into Jericho. Rahab, a woman living a sinful life, wanted to be on God’s side, so she helped the spies by hiding them and keeping them safe from the people of Jericho. In return for her kindness, the spies promised that Rahab and her family would be safe when the Israelites conquered the city.

🌟Through Rahab’s story, we see that God does not only call those who do what is right. God calls people with a sinful past, changes their hearts and includes them in His plan of redemption. This is good news!

❤️To help us remember, we made bookmarks. First, we braided red strings to make a tassel to remind us of the red ribbon that the spies told Rahab to hang in her window to mark her home when they returned. Then, we glued our memory verse to our marker.

📣Our new verse is:

“Haven’t I commanded you; be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

We had a wonderful time sharing the Greatest Story Ever Told with our friends at the Dutchtown Hometown Christmas last night! What a spectacular event! 🎄

Thank you to all the families who participated! We enjoyed making memories with each and every one of you! 💛
