I just wanted to share something exciting with everyone.

We’re introducing Sole Hero Squishy™ — a fun new sensory-friendly shoe add-on for kids who love to squeeze, click, fidget, and play.

This was inspired by the kids and families we love so much — especially children with sensory needs, autism, cerebral palsy, toe walking, and other mobility or comfort challenges.

The idea is simple:

Put something fun, soft, squishy, and interactive right on the shoe.

Something kids enjoy.

Something that makes shoes feel less stressful and more exciting.

Something that gives them a little comfort, a little confidence, and a lot of personality.

These will come in multiple colors and designs, and we’re working on making them part of the SophWear / Faith Over CP mission to bring better adaptive products to families who need them.

We’re just getting started, but this one feels special.

Squishy. Clicky. Hero-ready.

Today I sent this letter to Chair Jennifer Gross, Vice Chair Tim Barhorst, Ranking Member Rachel Baker, the Ohio House Medicaid Committee, Director Scott Partika, Auditor Keith Faber, Attorney General Dave Yost, and Governor Mike DeWine.

My daughter Sophie lives with triplegic cerebral palsy.

Like thousands of Ohio families, we've spent years navigating therapies, Medicaid, adaptive equipment, caregiver support, and the barriers that families with disabilities face every day.

Fraud should be stopped. Taxpayer dollars should be protected. But families raising children with disabilities deserve a seat at the table when policies are being discussed.

This letter shares our story, our concerns, and our recommendations.

Please take a few minutes to read it and share it if you believe that families with disabilities deserve to be heard.

These shoes were inspired by Sophie’s journey and built to help kids walk with more comfort, confidence, and independence every day.

We’re working on getting more shoes as quickly as possible. Thank you to everyone supporting, sharing, and believing in this mission.

Title: Moving Beyond Botox: A New Approach for Cerebral Palsy

We’ve spent a lot of time discussing Botox injections for cerebral palsy. While they are often used to temporarily release spasticity, I’ve seen the long-term effects, and it led me to look for a better way for my daughter, Sophie.

Instead of the trauma of injections and expensive, ineffective AFOs—which can cost upwards of $12,000 every three months—we focused on the power of biomechanics.

By using a specific toe lift angle (between 10 and 30 degrees), we can put the Achilles tendon in a constant stretch. This simple change addresses the common issue of walking on one's toes and helps create normalcy in movement.

I am so blessed that this approach, rooted in directional theory, is now helping with 15 different disabilities. Even Sophie’s doctors were surprised by how well it worked\!

At the end of the day, giving an eight-year-old girl the chance at a normal life is what matters most.

Every once in a while, you witness a moment that reminds you why you never give up. ❤️

Watching Sophie continue to fight, grow, and push through challenges that most people could never imagine is something words can barely describe. These moments are bigger than therapy… bigger than technology… bigger than us.

This is why Faith Over CP exists.

To challenge outdated thinking.
To create better solutions.
To give children with CP and mobility challenges a real chance at greater independence and quality of life.

People said certain things were impossible… but Sophie keeps proving otherwise.
