For us, that child is Sophie. ❤️

When cerebral palsy became part of our family's journey, we faced a choice: accept the limitations of existing solutions or start asking how we could create something different.

We chose to innovate.

What began as a father's determination to help his daughter take her next steps grew into InvisaBrace® and InvisaSole™ — a new approach to exploring how we support movement.

Today, we're sharing a look at the original Invisa design.

Not because we believe we've answered every question.

But because we believe the world hasn't finished asking the right ones.

Our vision is bigger than a brace, an insole, or a pair of shoes. It's about giving families hope, making innovation more accessible, and challenging the belief that yesterday's solutions must define tomorrow's possibilities.

Through Faith Over CP®, we're working toward making these original designs available for free personal, noncommercial exploration, with the appropriate safety and engineering safeguards.

Because innovation should never stop at the door of a family that can't afford it.

This is more than technology. This is love turned into innovation. Faith turned into action. And one little girl's journey inspiring possibilities for others.

What an incredible moment for Sophie, our family, and the entire East Clinton community. ❤️💙

Tonight, Local 12 shared the story of Sophie cheering alongside her teammates—and showed what can happen when a community chooses inclusion instead of isolation.

This has always been about something bigger than shoes or one little girl.

It’s about giving every child the opportunity to participate, belong, make friends, and experience the same moments as everyone else.

Seeing Sophie out there with her teammates—laughing, cheering, and simply being one of the girls—is exactly why we started Faith Over CP and why we continue working to create adaptive solutions through SophWear.

A huge thank-you to the East Clinton coaches, cheerleaders, families, school community, and everyone who has embraced Sophie and helped show what real inclusion looks like.

And thank you to Local 12 for helping us share this message with Greater Cincinnati.

Inclusion changes lives. And sometimes all it takes is giving someone the opportunity to be included.

This video means more to us than I can put into words.

When Sophie was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 14 months old, we had no idea where this journey would take us. There were years of doctors, therapy, stretching, appointments, equipment, setbacks, and trying to figure out what might help her gain just a little more independence.

Eventually, we stopped waiting for someone else to build what Sophie needed.

We started inventing it ourselves.

That journey led to the InvisaBrace®, ToeLift™, adaptive footwear, and everything we have continued building through Faith Over CP — not because we set out to create products, but because we were trying to solve problems for our daughter.

And then you get moments like this.

Just belonging.

Our inventions helped make moments like this possible, but East Clinton did something equally important:

They gave her the opportunity to use that independence and simply be one of the kids.

That is what real inclusion looks like.

To the cheerleaders, coaches, football families, parents, school, and everyone at East Clinton who embraced Sophie — thank you.

You didn't just create a special day for our daughter.

You showed other schools, teams, and communities what is possible when we stop focusing on what a child cannot do and start asking:

“How do we make sure they get to be part of it?”

This is why we started Faith Over CP.

This is why we keep inventing.

And this is why we will keep fighting for a world where children like Sophie don't have to ask for a place to belong.

They already have one. 💚

💚🏈 TOMORROW IS ABOUT SO MUCH MORE THAN FOOTBALL. 🏈💚

We’re incredibly excited for East Clinton P*e Wee Football’s first home game of the season tomorrow at 2:00 PM at East Clinton High School!
But what makes this day especially meaningful to our family is what the East Clinton cheerleaders, coaches, families, players, and entire community are showing everyone:

Inclusion doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it simply starts with saying, “You belong here with us.” ❤️

Sophie gets to be out there with her teammates doing what every kid deserves the opportunity to do — participate, belong, make friends, be part of a team, and experience the same moments as everyone else.

We’re also excited to welcome 12, WKRC-TV from Cincinnati tomorrow as they help share this story with the community. 📺❤️
Because this isn’t just Sophie’s story — it’s East Clinton’s story.

It’s a story about teammates who see a teammate, not a disability. Coaches who make room for everyone. Families who support one another. And a community showing what can happen when a child is simply given the opportunity to belong.

Our hope is that another school, another coach, or another family sees what East Clinton is doing and realizes:

“We can do this too.”

That’s how inclusion grows — one team, one school, and one community at a time. 💚

Years ago, Local 12 and other news outlets came to this house to cover a remarkable recreation of Ohio Stadium known as “The Best Damn Room in the Land.”

Today, those same stadium walls surround something entirely different.

The room is now filled from floor to ceiling with SophWear™ adaptive footwear—created after we struggled to find shoes that worked for our daughter Sophie’s cerebral palsy and orthotics.

What was once a celebrated Buckeye showpiece has become the working headquarters for a mission helping children, adults and families move forward with greater confidence and independence.

The room was newsworthy because of what was painted on its walls. We believe it is even more meaningful today because of what is happening inside them.

Today, my wife received a call regarding our daughter’s benefits, and our family was questioned about how we continue to support ourselves. My social media activity was also flagged, and I was asked to provide a written statement explaining whether I earn income from TikTok.

So let me be clear: having a social-media account, developing a product, advocating for children with disabilities, or having been successful earlier in life does not mean a family is currently generating substantial income.

I left a successful career and invested my life savings into developing products intended to help my daughter and other families. I have turned down opportunities that would have required me to surrender control of technology that I believe needs to remain accessible to the people it was created to help.

We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking that Sophie’s application be evaluated accurately, respectfully, and without assumptions based on social-media posts or appearances.

When we lived in Pennsylvania, Sophie’s coverage was approved within days. In Ohio, we have now spent nearly four months trying to navigate the process. Families caring for children with disabilities should not be made to feel like suspects simply because they keep fighting, building, and finding ways to survive.

I will continue advocating for my daughter. I will continue working to make these products available. And I will continue trusting that God will provide.

Ohio families raising children with disabilities deserve a process that is timely, transparent, respectful, and based on documented facts—not assumptions.
