Lions Donate to Food Shelf

The Lions Club of New Ulm donated $1,500 to the New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf. The New Ulm Lions also collected and donated 48 pounds of food at there January 8, 2026 general meeting.
The Lions Club International Week of Service was January 3rd through the 11th. Lions Clubs from all over the world participated in service projects to address hunger. This initiative unites Lions worldwide to address the critical issues of hunger. By making a monetary and food donation to the New Ulm Food Shelf, we were part of that week dedicated to making a difference in our community.
The New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf is always in need of cash donations and volunteers. Cash donations can be sent to P O Box 761, New Ulm, MN 56073. If you would like to volunteer your time to help the less fortunate in our community, please contact board member Gary Roiger at 507-359-9569. If you are in need of food, please come down during business hours or call 507-354-7668. The New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf is located at 1305 South Valley St. Hours are 12:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. the first Monday of every month.
