We talked about love this week for Valentine’s Day! Who do you love? Who loves you? How can you show your love? These are all questions we talked about this week at SEED. We also made cards, exchanged treats, and said our affirmations (pictured below)

Best friends! 🧡 We did friendship painting last week. Friend 1 picks a color, friend 2 picks a different color, and then we high 5 and mix to make a brand new color! Yes, this is a good way to learn about your colors. But painting with a friend has so many more benefits! We had to practice waiting with a calm body while our partner completed their half of the project, we used safe and kind hands while mixing our paint, and we learned how to work together to create something new!

Last week was monster manners week! We learned our manner words and how to speak kindly to others! This came with fun interactive and sensory activities like collaborating to make monster snacks, making monster slime with sparkles and eyes, and magic painting with colored ice to reveal monster pictures! Mouse Was Mad! And splish, splash, splash into a mucky mud puddle!! This was our book yesterday. It talks about different ways we show anger, and the best ways to calm down. (Spoiler alert: try taking a deep breath!)

Yesterday’s activity was a hit! The kiddos made mucky mud puddles while looking for the mouse from the story!

Easy and mess free sensory activity! All you need is a gallon sized ziplock bag, some shaving cream, and paint or food coloring. Put the shaving cream and color in a bag, shut it tight, and have the kiddos squish it around. They love the feeling and if you add some small items in there it can become a fun scavenger hunt too!

Hello everyone!
If you feel your child may need extra support with social skills or emotional regulation this upcoming school year then SEED is a great program to help with that! We have openings for fall, let’s get your child in!

We work with the WLC preschool, Headstart, and daycares in the area to make sure your child can attend both SEED and any other program they may be enrolled in.

We are also hiring a part time assistant to assist with transportation, cleaning, and helping with the kiddos!

Please reach out if you are interested in having your child in SEED or if you are interested in joining our team as an assistant.
