Presenter Lara Worden is an avid distance rider and has owned Arabs/half-Arabs for all of her adult life. She got her start in Competitive Trail as a junior rider in the Upper Midwest region. Then when she married & moved to the Southeast (Foothills of North Carolina), she introduced her husband to distance riding and together they have both been competing in endurance for over twenty years. Lara is an Agriculture Agent with Gaston County Cooperative Extension, that has 20+ years of experience working with livestock producers and equine owners. Lara has a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a Master of Science in non-ruminant nutrition from Michigan State University. Lara has a personal interest and extensive knowledge in nutrition, pasture management and internal parasite best management practices for equids.
