We would like to announce that our pollinator garden is soon going to be home to the Shelly Kuchera Memorial Garden. I met Shelly a few years ago when I became Treat Lady (trainer and buddy) to her sweet dog, Scooter. Shelly was so much fun to spend time with and it was a joy to watch her light up around Scooter. Shelly was a huge supporter of Scarlet Heart Sanctuary, right from the beginning. She loved dogs - especially her amazing boy, Scooter. Shelly touched and enriched many lives in our community. Her loving husband, Jerry, continues to be an amazing volunteer and champion of our rescue. We wish to honor Shelly in a way that is beautiful and full of love, just like her generous spirit. We have purchased a tree to be the centerpiece of the garden, and we will add a relaxing seating area and other features, where people can come to remember their loved ones - human and four legged alike - as well as the wonderful dogs who have brightened our days at SHS. We will update you as we move forward with this project, which is very dear to our hearts. ❤️
