💚💛 12 Jewels. One extraordinary vision. 94 years of purpose.

On October 16, 1932, at Freedmen’s Hospital in Washington, D.C., Aliene Carrington Ewell and 11 visionary Black nurses established Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated. Together, our 12 Jewels laid the foundation for a legacy of nursing excellence, leadership, scholarship, and service.

Today, we honor their courage, celebrate their vision, and continue the work they began, uplifting our profession and caring for our communities through “Service for Humanity.”

Happy Founders’ Day Sorors and dedicated Fraters! Here’s to 94 years of making a difference and generations of service still to come. 🐢💚💛
