Ward Acres Conservancy is a non-profit volunteer organization, founded by private citizens in partnership with the City of New Rochelle, that exists to protect and restore the historically significant and ecologically fragile landscape of Ward Acres Park. Ward Acres is a 62-acre park in the Wykagyl section of the City of New Rochelle, in Westchester County, New York, with 30+ acres of open fields,
30 acres of woodlands, the largest dog park in Westchester County, a community-run garden, historic ruins, a biodiversity preserve, miles of walking paths, and more.
Ward Acres provides residents with a unique park experience within a natural setting. Stone walls which once defined pastures, the grave sites of Ward champion horses and three of the farm’s main buildings still stand on the property.
