After being postponed last month, the Public Hearing on the Downtown Development Plan revision is now officially re-scheduled, so join us on April 14th, 7:00 PM at City Hall to let our elected officials know what we think of it.
There are a few positive changes in the revision, but overall the plan is still heading in the wrong direction. The plan allows for even more units (13,347 residential units vs 10,547 units currently allowed... and, as a reminder, in 2015, the original limit was just 5,500 units), and it does not adequately address the: green space, traffic, parking and one-sided developer tax break concerns of MANY residents.
This public hearing is a great forum to let your voice be heard. Since this is governed by NY State Law all comments will be logged and responded to in writing in the next version of the amendment document.
