Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the 26th Annual Janell LaCombe Co-Ed Softball Tournament! We had an amazing turnout and are so grateful to everyone who helped make this event a success.

A special thank you to all of our Platinum Sponsors for supporting the tournament and for helping us continue our mission of supporting local cancer patients. Because of the incredible generosity of our community and local businesses, the Janell LaCombe Cancer Fund has donated more than $86,000 this year to cancer patients in Pointe Coupee Parish.

We also want to give a SPECIAL THANK YOU to the amazing volunteers from Synergy Bank and Guaranty Bank and Trust Company who generously donated their time to help us put on this event. We truly appreciate your willingness to serve our community and help make this tournament a success!

Last week, we celebrated our incredible Hospice Volunteers. We are truly blessed to have such a compassionate and dedicated group of women serving our patients and families.

Many of our volunteers have generously shared their time and talents with us for more than a decade, with some faithfully serving for over 25 years. Their commitment and kindness are an invaluable part of our hospice team.

Whether they are providing companionship at the bedside, offering respite for caregivers, or working behind the scenes to support our mission, each volunteer makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing end-of-life journeys.
We are so grateful for their hard work, dedication, and the countless lives they have touched over the years. Thank you to our Hospice Volunteers for all that you do!

The Pointe Coupee Health Services Foundation and The Hospital Service District in Pointe Coupee Parish are pledging to match the first $10,000 donated to the “One Pointe Coupee” fund. This fund will provide immediate assistance to anyone in our parish who was affected by last week's heavy rainfall, as several homes in Pointe Coupee were damaged by flooding. It will help residents begin restoring their homes and repairing damages. The Pointe Coupee Health Services Foundation and The Hospital Service District work to serve and support the wellbeing of those in our community, a commitment and responsibility we take very seriously. We’ll walk through how to make sure your future healthcare wishes are known in a way that feels right for you. In this class we will discuss the Five Wishes Advance Directive Document, a helpful user-friendly legal document designed to help you and your family prepare for the unexpected by clearly outlining your medical, personal, emotional, and spiritual wishes so your loved ones will clearly understand your preferences.

Attendees will also receive helpful resources including:
• Advanced care planning checklists
• Questions to ask your doctor
• A complimentary copy of the Five Wishes booklet
