ATTENTION POINTE COUPEE PARISH HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS!!!!

The Kiwanis Club of Pointe Coupee is announcing the start of their annual competition for high school seniors with post-graduate plans living in Pointe Coupee parish and attending any Pointe Coupee parish high school.

Two $1500 scholarships will be awarded based on the best applications received from graduating seniors from the 2025-2026 school year.

Applicants should intend to
enroll in a four-year college or university, or in a community, technical or vocational college in the fall of 2026.

Winners are chosen based on ACT scores, community service records, participation in extracurricular
activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, and quality of their application. Participation in Kiwanis Club service activities such as the bass fishing tournament fundraiser or the jambalaya fundraiser is a plus.

Applications are available from high school principals or guidance counselors. Home-schooled graduating seniors from the 2025-2026 school year living in Pointe Coupee parish who are completing the home school program in Pointe Coupee parish are also eligible.

Winners will be required to provide documentation of acceptance into a school of higher learning before the scholarship can be awarded.

The Kiwanis of Pointe Coupee would like to thank the Fishermen that comprised the 55 Fishing Teams in our 46th annual tournament a huge success. We'd also like to thank the volunteers, the City of New Roads and local businesses that helped support us before and through the event. But most of all we'd like to thank our Heavenly Father for keeping everyone safe and providing a beautiful day for our event.
