What a Great Day for Wildlife!

Today, a dedicated group of 12 volunteers came together and sacrificed a day of their lives to invest in the future of Arizona’s wildlife.

In just 8 hours, this incredible team built a complete water catchment apron—from the frame to the trough. Their hard work transformed a vision into reality.

Now, every rainfall and snowfall that lands on this apron will be captured and directed into the retention tank, providing a dependable source of water for wildlife when they need it most.

Projects like this don’t happen without volunteers who are willing to roll up their sleeves, work hard, and give back to the land that gives us so much.

To everyone who showed up today: thank you. Your efforts will benefit mule deer, elk, birds, and countless other species for years to come.

This is conservation in action.
This is habitat improvement.
This is protecting our hunting heritage for future generations.

Built by Volunteers. Driven by Conservation.

Count down to finishing the Cedar Mountain Project! We will have a bunch of awesome folks from all kinds of different groups, and all are from AMDO too!

These panels were prefabricated up at my house and now they are sitting at the project site to be put together like a puzzle, then we tie them down, cement them in, attach the tie downs to the joist and start covering it up with the corrugated sheeting!

If all goes well we will have a brand new apron to catch and collect the rain that is supposed to be coming. It’ll all be saved in a 2500 gallon tank and the fed to a trough or two.

It’s these types of projects that make us all feel like we e done something good for our wildlife! From Bugs to Buzzards! But, we really like the Mule Deer the best! ✌️

We will show you how it turned out Saturday afternoon!

Big shout out to Josh from the T-Link Ranch (AKA the 51 Ranch) Jake is ranch have, all the guys with PHXSCI, Valley of the Sun Quail Forever and a few more that will be Team AMDO once we are done.

For 67 years, I have lived in the greatest country on Earth — a nation built on freedom, sacrifice, faith, grit, and the courage of men and women willing to stand for something bigger than themselves.

Today, I simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to every veteran, every service member, every first responder, every patriot, and every American who helped preserve the freedoms we too often take for granted. Because of you, I was able to raise my daughters in a land where they could grow to become strong, proud patriots who love this country and understand the value of liberty.

Thank you for the right to dream, to work hard, to fail, to stand back up, and to become the best version of myself. In America, the only limits on our dreams are the ones we place on ourselves. That is a gift unlike any other.

I am grateful for every sunrise over this beautiful nation, every flag waving in the wind, every freedom earned through sacrifice, and every opportunity this country has given me and my family.

May we never forget those who paid the price for our freedoms, and may we always fight to preserve this great nation for the generations still to come.

God bless America.

🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than just a holiday — it is a sacred reminder to all of us of the incredible cost of freedom. We honor and remember the more than 1.1 million brave Americans who paid the ultimate sacrifice defending this nation and protecting the liberties we hold dear. Their courage, selflessness, and love for this country will never be forgotten. May God bless each and every one of them, their families, and the United States of America.

🇺🇸

This pile of metal will be turned into the new apron on Cedar Mountain at the end of the month. If any of you want to come up and put this catchment back together please just say yes! We will be there the last Saturday and possibly Sunday of May!

It’ll be just in time for the monsoon and it will keep a lot of critters watered!

Who is in? Let’s go!!
