We are aware that the bin to donate clothing for Paralyzed Veterans is full and people have been leaving bags around the bin. I called them last week and I just called them again and they ensured me that someone will be out today or tomorrow. Sorry for any inconvenience to the community.

Big Thank You to The Legion Riders that stopped by the Post yesterday. It was nice to walk out and see a parking lot full of motorcycles at Post 550. Also a big thanks to the volunteers that helped out, it was great day.

This Saturday June 20th about 1pm The Legion Riders will be stopping by our Post for their annual “Runts Ride”. If anyone is planning on coming to the Post, please park on the side of the building and leave the parking lot open for the motorcycles. Rider’s Captain told me to expect about 50 bikes.

Today with members of VFW Fred Calaway Post 6770 and the Auxiliary of Post 6770 we finished putting out flags at all local cemeteries and memorials. If we happen to miss one of your loved ones burial site, please know that it wasn’t intentional or malicious. We put out approximately 1728 flags and sometimes our volunteers and veterans might miss one. Please stop by American Legion Post 550 New Richmond, Ohio or VFW Fred Calaway Post 6770 to pick up a flag for your loved one’s burial site anytime we are open. Thank You

Appalachian Festival is this weekend and one of the entrances is by the American Legion. We will be open to the public and we are part of Dora. Also we have an ATM if anyone is needing cash. We are raffling a .44 caliber Henry Rifle with a maximum of 300 tickets sold, winner will be drawn on Memorial Day. We also plan to have hamburgers and fries available. Parking at the American Legion is for members only. Stop by and help support our local American Legion. Thank You!!!
