The Livestock Judging teams took part in regional events today. The varsity team (Paige, Lauren, Charles, Jacob, and Laik) finished 16th and the JV team (Gus, Mady, Brooklyn, and Colton) finished 1st. Gus was also the top JV judge.

Our first official contest of the year was Horse Judging today. Avary Hopper and Kaylee Berg finished in the top 35% individually. Unfortunately, they didn't have a full team so they couldn't advance but they did have an enjoyable day.

U of Mn invite - Livestock Judging!
NRHEG placed 20th out of 53 teams, with Gus, Lauren, Jacob and Charles placing on the top 40%, and each racking up a 50 score on at least one class. Nice work!

Homecoming 2026 today. We hosted our annual burger feed and after, 2 of our members (Kinley Adams and Olivia Wilkenson) rode their horses in the parade. Thanks to them a well as Mitchell Viktora and Adler Bethke for carrying the banner and the pooper scooper team of Breckyn Moen, Jacob Sommer, and Mason Christenson.

Wednesday we traveled to Stewartville for the Stewie Invitational. There the members judged in both Livestock and Horse judging.

Six members attended a leadership conference at Farmamerica - The Minnesota Agricultural Interpretive Center yesterday. They received training from the Mn State officers followed by presentations about starting a business from the owner of Farmers Fuel Coffee and Udder Buddies Ice Cream. In the afternoon they got demonstration from Crystal Valley about drone technology, toured Farm America, and picked some pumpkins.
