This week, we held a loving Celebration of Life for Robert (“Robbie”), one of our longtime residents.

Robbie was a cherished member of the Our House family. He first resided at our Chatham Group Home before transitioning to Bound Brook, and his presence, kindness, and impact will be deeply missed by many throughout the agency.

Current and former Our House employees, along with several residents, gathered to share loving memories, celebrate Robbie’s life, and contribute plants to his memorial garden. He was known for his love of flowers, delicious meals, Christmas, and rock and roll. Robbie was often the first face visitors saw when entering his home - a role he took very seriously, always greeting others with enthusiasm.

Robbie was dear to the hearts of all who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

As one Our House resident said best, “Robbie will always be missed and always be remembered.”

Our first greenhouse harvest is here!

Last week, day program participants harvested our first round of produce for donation to our friends at Covenant House New Jersey!

The Our (Green)House Program provides opportunities for our served individuals to gain hands-on experience growing fresh fruits and vegetables while making a difference in their community.

We are proud to celebrate this exciting milestone and the hard work that made it possible!

Recently, participants from VAP Livingston put their creativity and kindness to work by creating heartfelt, handmade thank-you cards and gifts for veterans at the VA. ❤️

Special Thanks to Assistant Director of Day Services Moe Pender and the entire VAP Livingston team for their dedication and hard work on this project. Your efforts helped spread appreciation and brighten the day of those who have served our country.
