The New Providence Business Community’s mission is to support and give back to the New Providence community and its residents and serve our members. Our mission became clear when the Borough of New Providence was no longer able to fund community events like the Independence Day celebration fireworks. The New Providence Business Community took these events on and the New Providence Business Communi
ty members provided the funding to keep the great events alive! We work to achieve our mission by providing funding and operating community events: the 5K Race, Farmers Market, Summer Concerts, Independence Day, Street Fair, Scarecrow Stroll, and the Borough Holiday Party. The New Providence Business Community holds membership meetings to inform, educate, and create a forum for our members to exchange ideas and experiences, to build a proactive and vibrant business community. By raising our profile and making the community aware of our efforts we can to drive local customers to our businesses. By building and promoting an active, vibrant, and involved business community, we can improve every business’s bottom line and help fill vacant commercial space in town. To do this we need the participation of everyone in New Providence, business owners and residents. Business owners need to get involved in the New Providence Business Community and the residents need to support our local businesses. The New Providence Business Community is run by member volunteers and funded by member dues and contributions. Help us do more to promote New Providence businesses and better serve our community and customers. Even if you’re a business-to-business company, raising your profile and creating positive PR should be part of your marketing plan -- you are part of the community. Your clients and employees may live in New Providence and our surrounding communities. Become an active member of the New Providence Business Community. Standard dues are only $125.00 for a year or .34 cents a day and the goodwill you can create for your business by getting involved is priceless. It’s important to understand that building awareness and goodwill takes time, money and volunteerism. Join the New Providence Business Community and make it part of your marketing strategy today.
