Solid practice night at Park Jefferson. Gonna fine tune for tomorrow’s show. Wyatt says this track is pretty fun!

We had a great night at Arlington raceway. Thanks to everyone that came out to support local racing.

Wyatt ran great on a fast, heavy, elbows up track surface after the afternoon rain. He started in the back and picked cars off as he learned the track, finishing 5th.
Made gains on the stock car, seems to run better and had fun wheeling in the rat race. Loaded both cars in one piece making it a success.

Following the features, Will Smith made his Modified debut a success in the mechanics race. Thanks Will for all the hard work and commitment you made on the 96 this season.

Planning on making Wyatt’s Modified debut tomorrow at Arlington Raceway.
Maybe haul the stock car along to see if we can make some gains on it.

What a rollercoaster ride of a Jamboree weekend, followed by championship/retirement day at MQMRA on Sunday.
Starting on Wednesday, every time Wyatt got in the seat, improvement was shown as he adapted to the power and speed of a USRA Modified at one of the fastest tracks in the area, competing against the best USMTS racers in the country.
Friday night was our first ever attempt at group qualifying which went well, got the hammer down, up on the wheel and without detrimental mistake. Races were a blast, drove the whole track to work his way around cars on the move forward, definitely favoring the high line on the fence. Was awesome to have a bunch of friends come down to support. Thanks all.
Saturday didn’t go as anyone wanted, got tore up pretty bad, running hard into a car that spun in front of us in the heat race. We were looking forward to running the non qualifier race that night.
Stock car didn’t perform as we had hoped. Not much to say on that, reboot and try again I guess. Thanks to the Zevenbergen’s for their efforts on that car, wish I brought a better piece.
Then on to Quarter Midgets at Elko. We entered the day looking like the last day was going to be a wash. Took advantage of the rain delay to prep the cars that didn’t even come out of trailer last week. Did the best grind job we could on the week 2 tires we had left.
Piper gave a great retirement speech at the morning brick ceremony. She raced a good race day in Sr.Animal. We highlighted that she went all season on the same axles. Piper has expressed interest in taking on a support role at MQMRA track next season.
Wyatt was pretty determined to run well on his last day in a Quarter Midget. He fought hard and managed his races well to make what tire he had last long engough to clean sweep the heavy world formula class.
Following the races were the exciting retirement laps, followed by the handlers races which is always a site to see.

Looking forward, we will are full speed ahead racing dirt modifieds and the quarter midget operation is officially up for sale. Our season is not over yet though, going to regroup the pieces and continue on until we either run out of iron, or the snow flys. Stay tuned for the next adventure.

Having a good debut weekend at the Jamboree. Wyatt didn’t waste any time getting after it, the first time in a USRA car. He burned 20 gallons of methanol fuel through it on practice night, didn’t want to stop.

Last night was the first race night. Started in the back, built on car control and rhythm. Raced hard and kept the the nose clean. We will do it all again tonight.
Elijah Zevenbergen will debut in the #9 stock car tonight as well.

Been a little quiet on the FB, but been pushing hard on the race program in real life, due for an update.

Great day of Quarter midget racing, down to one day left, our final, final, next Sunday. Both kids ran great today, had fun with great company and our best palls. Wyatt locked in on his heavy world formula championship with the heavy feature win, while Piper showed strength of aggression on a cool, overcast, day in Sr. Animal.
Looking forward to the upcoming week, Wyatt is going to make his deput in a legit, family owned, USRA Skyrocket modified with a real USRA engine, at the Deer Creek Speedway. The Deer Creek Jamboree runs each night, Thursday through Saturday- look it up.
Elijah Zevenbergen will also be wheeling the #9 stock car to the front on Friday and Saturday night. Come one, come all for a good time at one of the best dirt tracks in the Midwest- bring the camper.
Wyatt is pumped to finally get some seat time in a USRA car before the long offseason ahead. Lot of posts to come in the next 7 days. Thanks to all the hands that helped make the the next step a reality. Huge learning curve ahead so we might as well get a head start on next year, now!

Successful weekend at the Northstar Shootout, with Wyatt bringing home both Heavy World banners after a successful LeSueur fair week. Qualifying under the lights Friday, followed by double header race weekend - Thanks to MQMRA for hosting a special event. Fun memories as we begin closing in on our final weeks of Wyatt’s quarter midget career.
