On June 25th — World Vitiligo Day — something incredible is happening across our state.
Eight landmarks are going PURPLE for vitiligo awareness. From Minneapolis to Faribault to Rochester — Minnesota is about to light up like never before.

✨ Lights at 70th & France — Edina

8 years. One powerful message. Zero stopping us!

The State of Minnesota has officially proclaimed June as Vitiligo Awareness Month for the 8th year in a row!

💜For Minnesota VITFriends, this is more than a proclamation. It is recognition. It is visibility. It is another reminder that people with vitiligo deserve to be seen, supported, understood, and empowered.

👀 This is what advocacy looks like. Not always loud. Not always easy. But steady, consistent, and impossible to ignore.

To everyone in our community who has shared their story, raised awareness, supported someone else, or simply showed up as themselves: this belongs to you.

💜 Minnesota is showing UP for World Vitiligo Day 2026.💜

We already have SIX landmarks approved to go purple on June 25th — and we're just getting started.

From the Twin Cities metro to Faribault to Rochester — vitiligo awareness is lighting up the entire state.

This is what the campaign looks like when a community decides to move. Every one of these approvals started with one vitiligo advocate sending one email.

That's it. One email.

If you live in Minnesota — or anywhere in the US and Canada — there is a landmark in YOUR community waiting to go purple too. We built the toolkit and the master spreadsheet so any vitiligo advocate can do this on their own in under an hour.

Here's how:
𝟏. Open the master spreadsheet → find your state tab → pick your landmark
𝟐. Find the right contact (the toolkit tells you exactly who to call)
𝟑. Send the sample request letter with the purple color spec included
𝟒. Follow up in 2 weeks — silence is NOT a no
𝟓. Log your YES, line up a photographer, and get ready for June 25
