Local Missions Week is officially underway! 💙

Yesterday and today, our youth had the opportunity to serve alongside the incredible team at Volunteer Way, working in both the warehouse and the food pantry. They jumped right in with willing hearts, strong hands, and positive attitudes.

This group is proof that you can work hard, serve well, and still have a lot of fun together! I’m so proud of the compassion, teamwork, and dedication they’ve shown already.

I can’t wait to see all that they’ll accomplish throughout the rest of the week as they continue serving our community. Stay tuned for more updates! 💛

Tonight our youth praise team led two powerful songs: “Rise Up (Lazarus)” by CAIN and “Graves Into Gardens” by Passion. What an incredible pairing.

Both songs tell the same beautiful story—that Jesus doesn’t just improve our lives; He transforms them. He calls us out of the grave, breathes new life into what seemed hopeless, and turns brokenness into something beautiful.

It was the perfect lead-in to tonight’s lesson from Romans 12:1–21, where Paul reminds us that because of God’s mercy, we are called to be living sacrifices, transformed by the renewing of our minds. We don’t stay the same after encountering Jesus. We leave behind the old and step into the new life He has for us.

Our prayer is that our students would continue to rise from whatever holds them back, allow God to renew their hearts and minds, and become people who reflect His love through genuine compassion, humility, and grace.

So thankful for a youth praise team that doesn’t just sing songs—they help point hearts to the One who still calls people out of graves and into gardens. ❤️

Notification of Policy Change Re: Loud Kid Policy Effective Immediately at Hope United Methodist Church.

We are committed to transparency and accountability in all matters of church life. The following document outlines our comprehensive procedures regarding loud children in worship. Please consider this your official notice of policy clarification.
Effective immediately, if a family is considering visiting and they have a loud kid, the following options are available:
Option 1. The family should bring the kid.
Option 2. The family should make sure they bring the kid.
Option 3. The family is to see that the child is brought to church.
Option 4. The kid is absolutely welcome and expected.
We believe the sound of children in worship is not a distraction. It is evidence of life, growth, and the future of the church.
If your child makes noise, you are not bothering us. You are blessing us.
