As we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, the AFC Chapter at Pasco-Hernando State College wanted to spread some thankfulness, and our campus community did not disappoint! We sold over 100 thankful care packs that were put together by your chapter board members. Care packs included a bag of pretzels, a tootsie roll, a caramel chew, and an adorable “thank you” card with a cute fall theme! Our favorite was the “Rise & Grind: You Got This!” We want to thank everyone for supporting your local Association of Florida Colleges campus chapter!! We just love these appreciation moments!

Last month, PHSC celebrated our All College Day, where all the employees got together for professional development. Our AFC Chapter was also able to celebrate among the campus community. We presented several awards to chapter members, and even had Mr. Tony Carvajal, CEO/Executive Director of Association of Florida Colleges present at one of our breakout sessions with good attendance. What a great way to start off the year for the PHSC Chapter of AFC!
We had an amazing time at the Leadership Summit 2025 that was held at Miami Dade College's Medical Campus. We won Outstanding & Platinum Chapter for the Year! Some of our Chapter Board Members were celebrated for their amazing service and dedication to our Chapter. Cary Cox, PHSC AFC Chapter President, was rewarded with the Honorary Life Award, and Ash Truitt, North Campus Rep, received the Distinguished Service Award. The Culture and Connections Commission won Outstanding Commission of the Year with Pat McGee accepting the honor. Amazing work to all!

It's our favorite time of the year, Association of Florida Colleges Annual Conference! This was the 75th annual conference, which made our attendance even more special. Pasco-Hernando State College Chapter had an amazing turn out, and even presented during some sessions at the conference. Take a look at all the fun we had as a chapter building relationships and networking with other colleges in The Great 28!
