Join CERT - Community Emergency Response Team

Pasco County Emergency Management is offering FREE CERT TRAINING to prepare disaster-ready volunteers.

The CERT program trains you in practical disaster response skills so you can help your community when an emergency hits. Through CERT, you learn how to prepare for hurricanes, stay safe during disasters and support others until professional responders arrive.


The classes will be held at the GHCA, from 6:30pm to 9pm, starting May 6th.

The training schedule is:

May 6 – Disaster Preparedness

May 13 – CERT Organization

May 20 – Medical Operations 1

May 27 – Medical Operations 2

June 3 – Disaster Psychology

June 10 – Fire Safety

June 17 – Light Search and Rescue

June 24 – Terrorism and CERT…and Graduation!


If you are interested, please contact our Office at 727-848-0596. You must be able bodied and at least 16 years of age with parental permission to volunteer. THIS PROGRAM IS A VERY VALUABLE PROGRAM AND SPOTS ARE LIMITED.
