Our friend Dell from New Port Richey FarmNet stopped by Wednesday to talk about the 13th Annual Loquat Festival. It is this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm at Peace Hall in Sims Park. There will be all sorts of loquat foods to purchase, and even some Loquat trees if you want to start growing your own supply. Don't know what a Loquat is? Head on over to Downtown New Port Richey tomorrow and try one of these delicious plum like fruits. Special thanks to Kurt for being our t-shirt model.

Last week we were fortunate enough to have Kelly Maki Hackman from The White Heron Tea & Gifts as our speaker. Many of us have known Kelly forever for her work with New Port Richey Main Street, as a Board Member and Executive Director of Chasco Fiesta, and her endless efforts to bring tourism to the City of New Port Richey. What some of you might not realize is that her amazing tearoom has been in existence for an entire decade! They have entertained 40,515 guests in their tearoom while serving 50,642 pots of tea - how impressive is that! Many of her visitors are from out of town. What brought them to Downtown New Port Richey? Many times they're here visiting family and friends. Keep telling people how awesome New Port Richey is so that our Downtown businesses can continue to thrive.

Wow, we had so many amazing boats this year for the Flagship Bank Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade! Thank you to all who participated. This year we had a People’s Choice Award sponsored by McPherson & Thomas, P.A. and it went to the Calusa Cruise Club with their Spirit of America! They were the Grand Prize Winner too – it seems the Judges also agreed that they were awesome. Another new category was the Rotary Trophy – Seven Springs Rotary will have bragging rights to that for the rest of the year. Congratulations to all of our winners 😁

Today is the day for the Flagship Bank Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade!!! It starts at 1 pm at Millers Bayou in Port Richey, and then heads down the Cotee River to Sims Park. Admission to Sims Park is free until 4 pm and it's the perfect place to see the parade. So get the family ready and head on over to Downtown New Port Richey. Don't forget to vote for the People's Choice. Voting opens at 1 pm at http://www.chascofiesta.com/vote .

The Rotary Club of New Port Richey hosts the Chasco Fiesta Flagship Bank Boat Parade!

The parade commences at 1:00 in downtown New Port Richey along the river. This year, we're mixing it up with a people's choice award, thanks to McPherson & Thomas, P.A.

You can cast your vote tomorrow, March 28th from 1:00-4:00, and one of our amazing entries will win a cool $1,000.00! McPherson & Thomas, P.A.

Congratulations to Queen Chasco Brenda Glass and King Pithla Adam Shoemaker! These two amazing Rotarians have done so much in our community, and truly embody service above self. We are fortunate to have Brenda in our Rotarh Club, who adds constantly adds sunshine and so much more. Thank you both for being wonderful humans.

We are so excited that John Carter Cash is going to be our Grand Marshal for the Flagship Bank Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade! And yes, he is the son of Johnny Cash and June Carter. In case you didn’t know, Johnny and June Carter Cash owned a vacation home in Port Richey, Florida, located on Sunset Boulevard along the Cotee River. Seems beyond fitting that their son would lead the parade down that same river. The parade starts at 1 pm in Millers Bayou in Port Richey and will head South to Sims Park. Admission is free in Sims Park until 4 pm so grab the family and go check it out!
