When there are kids involved, leaving isn't one decision. It's a hundred: where the kids will sleep, who they'll be with on weekends, whether it's even legal to take them, and what a judge might decide.

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone, and you don't have to figure it out by yourself. Child Find of America is free and confidential: 1-800-426-5678

Bullying can happen anywhere—at school, online, or even in extracurricular activities. As parents, it’s our job to create a safe space where our kids feel comfortable talking about their feelings and experiences.

🗣️ Start the conversation. Ask open-ended questions about how your child feels at school or in other social situations.

🛡️ Listen without judgment. If your child shares something troubling, stay calm and validate their feelings. Let them know they’re not alone, and that you’re there to support them.

📢 Encourage your child. Teach your child that speaking up—whether for themselves or others—is a sign of strength, not weakness.

🌱 Lead by example. Show kindness and respect in your own interactions. Kids learn from what they see.

Together, we can foster a world where every child feels safe, valued, and heard. 🌍✨

The case of Thomas Phillips, a New Zealand father who abducted his three children and went into hiding with them for almost four years, highlights how law enforcement across the globe have significant gaps in their understanding of parental abduction. According to the inquiry into the investigation, law enforcement had a "misconceived view that there were no concerns for the children's welfare."

A public inquiry has found that agencies "missed key opportunities" to recover the children sooner.
