Words can not express the deep gratitude I have for our community. We came together and in 6 weeks created this awesome event . We raised over $21,000 to help bring medical supplies to Ukraine and help special needs children be moved out of harm's way. This is the true essence of community. This is what makes living in the Hudson Valley truly amazing. Thank you ALL who contributed in whatever way you were able. It doesn't take money to be generous. It takes love. It was a day...

One dream comes true

In the shadow of horrific warfare,
we all watched from afar.

She struggled with the drama,
the scenes, the newscasts
continents removed.
She struggled with the sadness,
concern and frustration
and felt the challenge.
In response to the horror,
the drama, the frustration
She chose action.

While the politicos tossed and turn,
Pierrette Farber had a dream and made a choice,
She laid aside her fear and chose action..
From that dream, she reached out,
gathered family, friends and those equally frustrated

Pierrette created a try ight knit volunteer team. We had a mission. We boldly approached New Paltz, Ellenville, artists & businesses on both sides of our river and thanks to the immediate gift of PG Printing, we had a marketing tool.

She became We

Hudson Valley residents and NYC visitors, local artists, businesses and services, all generously donated their crafts, gifts and experiences. SUNY students brought their smiles and infectious energy. Musicians, dancers and performance artists brought their talent. Family and old friends and our new Ukrainian friends spread the word....
And so on a lovely Saturday afternoon, a dream became reality. With our fearless leader at the helm, we worked hard. Prepped and ready, we opened the door and the hearts of those who wanted to help. We met and shared, we came together and widened our circle.
Most importantly, we all understood
the need - the reason for it all.
