Hey Pack! Does your scout still need to earn the Cyber Chip for their rank this year? It is super easy and can be done in less than 30 minutes!
Requirements are:

1) To read and sign this blue Cyber Chip card, which you can print and use since we cannot meet in person.

2) Head to (https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/cyber-chip/). Click your child's grade level and follow the instructions from there. Grades 1-3 watch 2 videos. Grades 4-5 watch 2 videos and also there is a pdf called Teachable Recipes you can discuss with your scout. **I did not make these recipes but asked my scout to imagine if I did. With food resources scarce these days we just did OUR BEST by imagining!

3) Grades 1-3 tell family what they learned. Grades 4-5 discuss acceptable practices for using electronic devices etc at scout functions (when it would be ok and why would it not be ok).

When: Mar 13, 2020, 5pm - 10:30pm (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time

Due to Southern Hancock Schools canceling all extra activities, Pack 254 Committee has decided to postpone the Pack Pinewood Derby until the end of April. We have a few scouts who are immune-compromised and we have a few scouts who live with parents and grandparents who are over 50. We believe that to keep them safe and to provide excellent programming for our whole pack we need to postpone. A new date is being discussed and will be announced soon.
