WIMOs caters towards women in maritime operations because there is a lack of female representation. Our Motto is Educate. Engage. Elevate.

Women In Maritime Operations (WIMOs) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to retaining, advancing, and promoting women in the maritime industry through sharing knowledge and continuing education. ⚓️ 1,300 members | 300+ companies Worldwide, women make up less than 30% of the maritime workforce. We achieve this by providing supplemental educational opportunities on diverse topics. We also maintain

female representation at industry events. With more knowledge and a peer support group WIMOs has created a platform to propel women in their maritime career.

With more than 15 years in the marine industry and a strong background in financial leadership and volunteer service, Valerie brings valuable experience and passion to this role. We're excited to have her help guide WIMOs into its next chapter.
