Empowering People
Lower 9th Ward NENA strives to facilitate positive change in the community through education, community development and revitalization. We implement projects and programs in affordable housing, economic development and education to empower people to become homeowners and achieve their American Dream.
Home Ownership is key to community revitalization. It offers substantial social and financial benefits for families, communities and the country as a whole. Here at 9th Ward NENA, we are empowering people of New Orleans to become homeowners with our Housing Counseling classes and programs. We’ve also constructed new homes and renovated blighted ones to put back into commerce for low to moderate income buyers.
NENA also provides other services like Community Feeding, Books and Supply Giveaways, and Super Second Saturday, a community market that encourages entrepreneurship for residents to sell their goods and services to the community at NENA's location, hosts Night Out Against Crime for the community and more. You can help make a difference in the community by donating to 9th Ward NENA. With your generous donation, NENA can continue providing these much needed community services. Please donate today. Your generosity is greatly appreciated .
